PayPal Plans to Invest $100 Million in Middle East and Africa to Boost Digital Economy

06:53 AM EDT, 09/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- PayPal ( PYPL ) said Wednesday it plans to invest $100 million throughout the Middle East and Africa over the coming years to accelerate digital commerce growth in the region.

The investment will include minority investments, acquisitions, PayPal Ventures funding, and technology and people deployments, the company said.

The plan follows the launch of PayPal's ( PYPL ) Middle East and Africa headquarters in Dubai in April and builds on PayPal Ventures' existing investments in startups, including Tabby, Paymob, and Stitch.
