Peabody Energy Q1 Earnings, Revenue Decline; Keeps Quarterly Dividend at $0.075

11:25 AM EDT, 05/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Peabody Energy ( BTU ) reported Q1 earnings Thursday of $0.29 per diluted share, down from $1.68 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.31.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $983.6 million, down from $1.36 billion a year ago.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $980 million.

The company's board kept the quarterly dividend at $0.075, payable on June 5 to shareholders of record on May 16.

Peabody shares were 3.7% higher in recent trading.
