Peachtree Group Broadens Private Credit Reach with Targeted $200 Million Commitment to The Briad Group’s Multi-Brand Convenience Store Developments
Nov 17, 2025 6:12 AM

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Peachtree Group ("Peachtree") announced it is leveraging its private credit lending platform to expand into the convenience and fuel retail sector, targeting up to $200 million to the Livingston, N.J.-based The Briad Group ("Briad") for the development and acquisition of new sites.

The financing arrangement will support two to four Circle K convenience store and mini-travel center projects annually over the next several years. Each location, approximately 7,000 square feet, is designed as a multi-brand concept that combines fuel, convenience retail and nationally recognized quick-service restaurants such as Wendy's, Dunkin', Jimmy John's and Buffalo Wild Wings Go.

"This initiative reflects the strength of our private credit platform and the value we bring as a capital partner," said Greg Friedman, CEO of Peachtree. "By providing flexible financing to experienced operators like The Briad Group, we can help accelerate its growth while creating durable assets that generate strong, risk-adjusted returns for our investors."

Peachtree has already closed its first convenience store with a Circle K development financing with Briad in Binghamton, N.Y., for a Wendy’s and Dunkin’-anchored mini-travel center. The building is uniquely designed with two drive-thru lanes to support both nationally recognized quick-service restaurants.

The project demonstrates the company's ability to fund ground-up development in a sector where freestanding quick-service new builds have become increasingly difficult to begin under current economic conditions.

This financing supports, in part, Briad's recently announced agreement with Circle K to more than double the brand's presence in the Empire State. Under the deal, Briad will open 40 franchised Circle K stores across Upstate New York, adding to Circle K's existing base of about 30 locations statewide.

Peachtree and Briad share a long-standing relationship that spans more than a decade. Since 1999, Peachtree has provided Briad with more than $100 million in financing for hotel ground-up developments within the Marriott and Hilton family of brands, a foundation that underscores the trust and alignment behind this latest initiative.

“We have known and worked with the Peachtree team for years, creating a shared vision based on trust,” said Brad Honigfeld, CEO of The Briad Group. “They understand our business and our growth strategy, and their ability to provide flexible capital makes them the ideal partner as we expand our footprint with Circle K across New York.”
