Peloton, Hyatt Hotels Linking Exercise, Customer Loyalty Programs

11:06 AM EDT, 05/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Peloton's (PTON) shares were gaining in Wednesday trading after launching a new partnership that will provide members of Hyatt Hotels' ( H ) customer loyalty program with bonus points and additional perks when they use Peloton exercise equipment at Hyatt locations worldwide.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

As part of the collaboration agreement, Hyatt is expecting to install Peloton equipment at more than 800 locations in the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, Austria and Australia. Guests at nearly 400 properties also will be able to access classes and other Peloton programming on televisions in their rooms and are eligible for free or extended Peloton trial memberships and discounted equipment purchases, the companies said.

Peloton shares recently were climbing 0.8%. Hyatt shares were down 0.1%.
