11:42 AM EST, 11/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Peloton Interactive ( PTON ) is recalling about 833,000 units of its Peloton Original Series Bike+ after receiving three reports of seat posts breaking and detaching during use, including two cases that resulted in injuries from falls, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission said Thursday.
The recall covers units with model number PL02 and serial numbers beginning with the letter T, sold in physical and online stores from January 2020 through April 2025, the commission said.
"Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled exercise bikes and contact Peloton for a free repair," the commission said.
"We are taking this opportunity to make replacement seat posts available to all affected Bike+ users, and we encourage them to contact us to receive the redesigned seat post as soon as possible," a Peloton spokesperson said in an emailed statement to MT Newswires.
The company's shares fell 6.4% in recent Thursday trading.
