10:28 AM EST, 11/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Pembina Pipeline ( PBA ) said Wednesday that it signed a 20-year agreement to provide liquefaction capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum at the Cedar LNG facility in British Columbia to Petroliam Nasional, or Petronas.
The agreement enables Petronas to access an additional natural gas export outlet for its Canadian upstream investment, while providing Pembina with a stable, long-term, take-or-pay revenue stream, the company said.
Pembina said it previously signed a 20-year take-or-pay liquefaction tolling service agreement for 1.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG to support the final investment decision on Cedar LNG in June 2024.
Following the deal with Petronas, Pembina said it expects to reach definitive agreements for the remaining 500,000 tonnes per annum of capacity by the end of the year.
Pembina said the $4 billion Cedar LNG project remains on time and on budget, with an expected in-service date in late 2028.
