MEXICO CITY, Aug 15 (Reuters) - Mexican state-owned oil
company Pemex said it is having "temporary" problems with the
distribution of gasoline in Mexico City and its suburban areas
due to lower availability of tankers to transport fuel.
In a statement released late on Thursday, the company said
that "immediate actions have been implemented to reinforce the
supply," and that in the coming hours additional delivery units
will be incorporated.
In previous days, some media reported fuel distribution
problems in some areas of the country, besides the capital and
adjacent areas, such as in the northern state of Nuevo Leon and
the southern state of Chiapas, with service stations closed
because they had no gasoline or diesel.
In her daily press conference on Thursday, President Claudia
Sheinbaum admitted some complications with Pemex contracts with
autotanker operators in Chiapas, but added that it would be
resolved.
