01:23 PM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Los Angeles County Counsel Dawyn Harrison filed a lawsuit Wednesday accusing PepsiCo ( PEP ) and Coca-Cola (KO) of polluting the county with their plastic bottles and engaging "in a disinformation campaign to make consumers falsely believe that purchasing their products in single-use plastic bottles is an environmentally responsible choice."

Pepsi and Coca-Cola did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
