07:20 AM EDT, 10/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- PepsiCo ( PEP ) said Thursday that it is revamping the look and recipes of its Lay's potato chips brand, through a redesign and the removal of artificial flavors and colors in the US.
The company said it expects to remove artificial flavors or colors from artificial sources in all core Lay's products in the US by the end of the year and in Lay's white dips in early 2026.
In addition, Lay's Baked products will be made with olive oil and have 50% less fat than regular potato chips, while the new version of Lay's Kettle Cooked Reduced Fat Original Sea Salt will be made with avocado oil and have 40% less fat, PepsiCo ( PEP ) said, noting that new food options from its portfolio will be released in 2026.
Shares of PepsiCo ( PEP ) were up 0.8% in recent premarket trading.
