PepsiCo to Expand EV Fleet in California

12:24 PM EDT, 05/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- PepsiCo's ( PEP ) North American subsidiary announced Tuesday it would be adding more electric-powered vehicles to its fleet across California.

PepsiCo Beverages North America said it would begin operating 50 Class 8 Semi trucks produced by Tesla (TSLA) and a further 75 E-Transit electric vans manufactured by Ford (F) in the "next several months."

The decision is supported by a grant provided by the California Air Resources Board, the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, and the California Energy Commission as part of a statewide initiative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, PepsiCo ( PEP ) said.
