08:26 AM EDT, 05/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Perimeter Medical Imaging AI ( PYNKF ) on Friday said it signed a Development Support Agreement (DSA) with Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health, a nonprofit health system with 33 hospitals and 400 clinics.

The parties will evaluate Perimeter's optical coherence tomography (OCT) and artificial intelligence in Intermountain's operations. In the first of these studies, Intermountain will support a retrospective analysis of population level reoperation rates and incremental healthcare costs associated with reoperation for patients who underwent initial breast-conserving surgery at select hospital sites.

The agreement also contemplates future studies using Perimeter's OCT and data collection to boost AI capabilities.

"Intermountain Health is uniquely positioned to evaluate the total cost of cancer reoperations - not only to the patient, but also to the payer," said Adrian Mendes, Perimeter's chief executive.
