06:33 AM EDT, 09/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Perpetua Resources ( PPTA ) said Friday that it has received a conditional notice to proceed from the US Forest Service for the Stibnite Gold Project in Idaho.

The notice says the project has satisfied all requirements and may begin construction so long as it posts the joint financial assurance bonding agreed to by the forest service, the Idaho Department of Lands, and US Army Corps of Engineers.

The company said it anticipates having the financial assurance posted in the coming weeks.

The company said the project has been undergoing a permitting review for 8 years. It aims to mine antimony, a mineral used in munitions and defense systems, the company said.

Shares of the company were up 2.1% in recent premarket activity.
