Perrigo Recalls 16,500 Cans of Baby Formula Due to Elevated Vitamin D Levels

08:54 AM EDT, 08/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Perrigo ( PRGO ) said Thursday it is voluntarily recalling 16,500 cans of store-brand Premium Infant Formula with iron milk-based powder due to elevated levels of vitamin D.

The company said the recalled product was shipped to H-E-B Grocery in Texas and CVS Health ( CVS ) stores in Texas, Florida, California, South Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Tennessee, New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Missouri.

Perrigo ( PRGO ) said that to date, there have been no reported adverse events attributed to the elevated vitamin D levels in the product subject to the recall.

The company said the recall was determined through routine testing.

Shares of Perrigo ( PRGO ) were down 2% in premarket activity on Friday.
