11:32 AM EDT, 03/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Pete Distad will be the chief executive of the new sports streaming service, a joint venture formed by Fox (FOX, FOXA), Warner Bros. Discovery ( WBD ) , and Walt Disney's ( DIS ) ESPN ( DIS ), the companies said Friday.

Distad most recently served as an executive at Apple (AAPL).

The companies said the sports streaming service is scheduled to launch in the fall.
