07:43 AM EDT, 08/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Petrobras (PBR) said Monday that it has achieved the main target of the Uchuva-2 well, confirming the extent of the gas discovery made in 2022 with the drilling of the Uchuva-1 well.

The Uchuva-2 well is located in the deep waters off the coast of Colombia at a depth of 804 meters, Petrobras said. The well is in progress, with five phases, and the gas-bearing interval was confirmed at phase 4 through wireline logging, which will be further characterized via laboratory analysis, the company said.
