RIO DE JANEIRO, March 8 (Reuters) - Brazil's state-run

oil company Petrobras has dismissed a news report

that chief executive Jean Paul Prates offered to step down after

the board's decision to hold off on extra dividends, according

to a press release from the company on Friday.
