07:48 AM EDT, 06/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Petroleo Brasileiro (PBR) said late Wednesday it submitted a declaration of interest for nine offshore exploratory blocks in the Ivory Coast.

The company said the Ivorian government has approved the declaration, which grants Petrobras exclusivity to enter contractual negotiations, which is the next phase in the acquisition process.

Petrobras' decision followed internal governance procedures, the company said, adding it will disclose any material updates to the market.
