Petroleo Brasileiro SA Shares Fall on Q2 Earnings Miss

03:30 PM EDT, 08/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Petroleo Brasileiro SA (PBR) shares were down 7.1% in recent Friday trading, after the company posted lower-than-expected Q2 earnings.

The company reported Q2 earnings Friday of 2.07 reais ($0.38) per diluted share, swinging from a loss of 0.20 reais a year earlier.

One analyst polled by FactSet expected earnings of 3.44 reais.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was 116.17 billion reais, down from 116.72 billion reais a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected 113.71 billion reais.

The company also declared a dividend of 0.67192409 reais per share, payable in two installments of 0.33596205 reais each on Dec. 1 and Dec. 30 to holders of American depository shares of record Aug. 25.
