07:37 AM EDT, 05/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Pfizer ( PFE ) , AstraZeneca ( AZN ) , and Morgan Stanley ( MS ) on Sunday have committed jobs and investments for France ahead of a key foreign investment summit, media reports said.
Pfizer ( PFE ) said it would invest 500 million euros ($539 million) in its research and development in France, while AstraZeneca ( AZN ) committed to $388 million for its site at Dunkirk, according to reports.
Meanwhile, French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire reportedly said that Morgan Stanley ( MS ) will add 100 staff in Paris, in addition to plans of raising its overall headcount in the city to 500 by 2025.
France's President Emmanuel Macron will host the annual "Choose France" summit on Monday, which aims to gather investment commitments from big foreign businesses.
None of the companies immediately responded to MT Newswires' request for comment.
