04:36 PM EDT, 03/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Pfizer's ( PFE ) oncology division is leasing premises within Breakthrough Properties' recently constructed life sciences campus in San Diego for cancer drug development, Breakthrough said Friday.

Pfizer ( PFE ) has agreed to a 15-year lease for 230,000 square feet at Torrey View life sciences complex, where it will occupy two research and development buildings within the 10-acre campus, Breakthrough said.

Breakthrough also announced a new collaboration between its StudioLabs platform and Pfizer Ignite, facilitating connections between innovative companies and Pfizer's ( PFE ) research, development, and manufacturing services, backed by an expert advisory network.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

Under the collaboration, StudioLabs clients will be able to collaborate with Pfizer Ignite in key therapeutic areas ranging from oncology to non-malignant hematology, Breakthrough said.

Pfizer ( PFE ) didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
