01:15 PM EST, 11/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Pfizer ( PFE ) and its supplier Tris Pharma reached a $41.5 million settlement with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for allegedly providing adulterated attention deficit hyperactivity disorder medication to children, Paxton said in a statement Wednesday.
The settlement relates to a November 2023 lawsuit, alleging that Pfizer ( PFE ) and Tris Pharma knowingly provided an ADHD medication named Quillivant XR to children on Medicaid despite the drug's "pattern of failing quality control tests due to flawed manufacturing practices," Paxton said.
Apart from the settlement, Pfizer ( PFE ) and Tris Pharma agreed to ensure that they follow all state and federal laws on manufacturing and distribution of drugs, Paxton added.
Pfizer ( PFE ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
Shares of Pfizer ( PFE ) were down nearly 2% in recent Wednesday trading.
