11:43 AM EDT, 09/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- PharmaCorp Rx (PCRX.V) on Monday said it is acquiring a PharmaChoice Canada-bannered pharmacy business in Ontario for $5.3 million.

The transaction, which is expected to close around Oct. 1, is PharmaCorp's first acquisition under its charter company structure, which was gained through the purchase of a pre-1954 charter company on April 30. A charter company allows PharmaCorp, which is not owned by pharmacists, to acquire pharmacies in Ontario, in accordance with the Drug and Pharmacies Act, a statement said.

PharmaCorp has also signed a letter of intent to acquire two PharmaChoice community pharmacies for $6.48 million in cash and shares.

The company's shares are down $0.01, to $0.48, on the TSX Venture Exchange.
