Philip Morris International Affiliate to Open New $600 Million Facility in Colorado to Produce Nicotine Pouches

08:11 AM EDT, 07/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Philip Morris International ( PM ) said Tuesday that its US affiliate will open a new manufacturing facility in Aurora, Colorado, with an investment of $600 million over the next two years.

The company said the new facility, which will produce Swedish Match ZYN nicotine pouches, is expected to create 500 direct jobs, including engineers, production personnel, technicians and quality control, with an average annual salary of $90,000.

The company said it plans to break ground on the new facility later this year and to begin initial operations by the end of next year, with regular production starting in 2026.
