12:50 PM EST, 03/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Phio Pharmaceuticals ( PHIO ) on Wednesday said it secured a patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office covering its compounds RXI-185 and RXI-231 for the treatment of age-related skin disorders.

The compounds were developed using the company's INTASYL siRNA gene silencing technology, Phio said.

The stock was up more than 11% in recent trading.
