11:00 AM EDT, 10/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Planet Labs (PL) said Thursday that the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency has awarded its Planet Labs Federal unit a contract for advanced analytics for maritime operations and reconnaissance under the Luno B contract.

The firm said it will provide Maritime Domain Awareness solutions, including vessel detections and monitoring over key areas in Asia-Pacific under the $12.8 million initial award.

Planet said the contract, which was won with partner SynMax, combines its PlanetScope data with SynMax's Theia product analytics.

Shares of Planet Labs were down over 4% in recent trading.
