Planet Labs Named Prime Contractor Under $151 Billion Missile Defense Agency Contract Vehicle

09:49 AM EST, 03/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Planet Labs (PL) said Tuesday that it was selected as a prime contractor by the Missile Defense Agency under the Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense contract vehicle.

The indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract vehicle has a ceiling of $151 billion and aims to rapidly provide improvements to the military, the company said.

The company said it plans to supply its global monitoring services and maritime domain awareness data to support artificial intelligence-enabled detections and warnings.

Shares of Planet Labs were down nearly 3% in recent Tuesday trading.
