Planet Labs Signs Contract With NATO's Agency to Provide Satellite Data

10:37 AM EDT, 08/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Planet Labs PBC ( PL ) said Monday it has struck a new contract with NATO Communications and Information Agency for the agency's Alliance Persistent Surveillance from Space program to use its SkySat satellite data for NATO missions.

The company said the data will provide imagery for use with detailed tracking and analysis of foreign military capabilities and activities, monitoring of military infrastructure and detecting movements, among others.

Financial terms of the agreement weren't disclosed.

Shares of the company were up more than 6% in recent trading.
