10:03 AM EDT, 10/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Planet Labs (PL) said Tuesday it won a $7.5 million contract renewal with the US Navy through its subsidiary, Planet Labs Federal, to continue providing vessel detection and monitoring services across key areas of the Pacific.

The project integrates Planet Labs' daily PlanetScope and high-resolution SkySat satellite data into the the Department of Transportation's SeaVision platform, leveraging artificial intelligence from partner SynMax for advanced maritime analysis, the company said.
