01:06 PM EST, 03/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Planet Labs PBC ( PL ) said Tuesday its Planet Labs Federal unit won a contract for vessel detection and monitoring across Pacific regions from the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific.

Under the "seven-figure" contract, the earth imaging company said it will provide real-time satellite data and analytics that will be integrated into the Department of Transportation's online maritime situational awareness platform.

Terms of the collaboration weren't disclosed.

Shares of the company rose 3% in recent trading.
