08:16 AM EDT, 09/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Plato Gold ( NIOVF ) , an exploration company with properties in Northern Ontario and Santa Cruz, Argentina, on Friday reported results from its drill program at the gold-silver Lolita project in Santa Cruz.
The company said drilling began in May and finished by mid-June, with 1,585 meters completed in 12 holes ranging from 74 to 242 meters. Two holes were drilled at Espalda, two at Corazon and eight at Panza.
Plato Gold ( NIOVF ) said drill holes at Panza and Corazon intersected silica veinlets and hydrothermal breccias within what looked like a specific stratigraphic unit of competent, felsic volcanic rock, "possibly an ignimbrite." Core samples of these zones contain anomalous arsenic, sulphur and sometimes antimony and mercury.
At Panza and Corazon, long intervals of veinlets and brecciation with sulphides or weathered sulphides were intersected in some cases. The company said it will study the results in "greater detail" and consider its options for the property.
Shares of the company closed down 14.3% at $0.030 on the TSX Venture Exchange Thursday.
