01:45 PM EDT, 08/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Plaza Retail REIT (PLZ-UN.TO) said Thursday the committee that was formed to review an unsolicited acquisition proposal from Axia Real Assets has received "inbound interest" from other parties.

The special committee is formally reviewing the strategic options available to it, along with its continuing assessment of Axia's proposal that was announced in early July, a statement said.

Axia is proposing to take Plaza Retail REIT private at C$5.28 per unit.

Plaza units were last seen up C$0.08 at C$5.28 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
