10:50 AM EDT, 09/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Plug Power ( PLUG ) said Thursday it received $10 million from the US Department of Energy to lead the development of an advanced hydrogen refueling station in the Washington state for medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.

The company said it will develop a high-flow, direct-fill hydrogen fueling station in partnership with Washington State University, the University of Maryland, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Plug Power ( PLUG ) said it will build a fueling station in Pullman, Washington, that is likely to be operational in 2026, adding that the station model could also be replicated in New York and across the US.
