Jan 23 (Reuters) - PNC Financial announced on
Thursday banking sector veteran Michael Lyons will leave the
lender to become the president and CEO-elect of payments firm
Fiserv ( FI ).
Lyons joined PNC, one of the largest banks in the U.S., in
2011 as head of corporate and institutional banking. He was
named president in 2024.
Newly elected President Donald Trump announced last month
his decision to appoint Frank Bisignano, Fiserv's ( FI ) current CEO,
as commissioner of the Social Security Administration, a major
federal agency.
In a separate statement, Fiserv ( FI ) said Lyons' appointment
takes effect on Jan. 27. After Bisignano departs, Lyons will
become CEO of Fiserv ( FI ) and also become part of the board.
Before joining PNC, Lyons held various leadership roles at
Bank of America ( BAC ), the second largest U.S. lender,
including global head of corporate development and strategic
planning.
