POET Technologies Appoints Ghazi Chaoui as Senior VP of Global Manufacturing and Digital Transformation

10:14 AM EDT, 05/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- POET Technologies ( POET ) on Tuesday appointed Ghazi Chaoui as senior vice president of global manufacturing and digital transformation.

POET in a statement said Chaoui is an industry veteran of nearly 40 years, and was previously chief procurement officer of Coherent Corp. The company added it is gearing up manufacturing in Penang, Malaysia, where he will be stationed, reporting to Dr. Suresh Venkatesan, POET's Chairman & Chief Executive Officer.

POET said Ghazi will "plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee all operations tied to order fulfillment, and ensure the development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the high demand for 800G and 1.6T transceivers needed by hyperscalers and AI cluster operators".
