POET Technologies, Sivers Semiconductors to Develop Optical Modules for AI Infrastructure

10:19 AM EDT, 09/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- POET Technologies ( POET ) said Monday it has entered into a partnership with Sivers Semiconductors to create external light source modules for co-packaged optics and artificial intelligence clusters and data centers.

The company said it will integrate its Optical Interposer platform with Sivers' distributed feedback lasers.

POET said the modules will use wafer-level production and chip-scale photonic integration to address size and cost concerns in large-scale AI deployments.

Prototype demonstrations are expected in H1 of 2026, with production likely to be ready by the end of that year, the company added.

Shares of the company were down 2% in recent trading Monday.

The SC on July 23 rejected Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea’s claim of computation errors in Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR)-related dues to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT). The total demand from Vodafone India is Rs 58,254 crore. Out of this, the company has paid Rs 7,854 crore and according to its self-assessment, it only owes Rs 21,533 crore to the government. Deutsche Bank tried to map the best way forward for the company in a report, according which the fate of Vodafone Idea lies in hands of the government.
