Polestar Reduces Supply Chain Emissions Through Renewable Fuel Solutions
Jun 5, 2024 6:19 AM

08:48 AM EDT, 06/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Polestar (PSNY) said Wednesday it plans to reduce supply chain emissions by adopting renewable fuels for its ocean freight routes, which constitute 75% of its transportation emissions.

The company said its Vehicle Processing Center in Belgium also operates entirely on renewable electricity.

As production of Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 increases, renewable fuel will be used for 65% of outbound ocean freight from Asia to Belgium, the company said, adding it also plans to integrate renewable fuels for freight from North America as Polestar 3 production expands in South Carolina later this year.
