05:58 AM EDT, 05/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Pony AI (PONY) and Uber Technologies ( UBER ) said Tuesday they have established a partnership to deploy Pony.ai's Robotaxis onto the Uber ( UBER ) platform.

The partnership is expected to initially launch in a key market in the Middle East later this year, with plans to expand to other international markets in the future.

The companies said vehicles will have a safety operator onboard during the initial pilot phase, until the partnership's fully autonomous commercial launch.

Pony AI shares were up nearly 12% in recent premarket activity, while Uber ( UBER ) fell 1.2%.
