07:48 AM EDT, 04/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Post (POST) said Wednesday that it will close two of its Post Consumer Brands cereal manufacturing facilities in Ontario and Nevada, by the end of December 2025.
The company said the closures, affecting about 300 employees, are part of its plan to reduce capacity in its cereal production network.
Post said as a result of the closures, it expects annual cost savings of $21 million to $23 million starting in fiscal year 2026.
Post said it would shift production to other facilities and expects pre-tax charges of $63.5 million to $67.5 million for the transition.
Additionally, Post said the transfer will require $5 million to $7 million in capital expenditures, in addition to its previously announced capital expenditure guidance range of $380 million to $420 million in fiscal 2025.
