08:55 AM EST, 11/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Power Metallic Mines ( PNPNF ) reported Tuesday assays from its summer drilling program at the Lion zone within the Nisk project area in Canada.
Highlights include 5.35 meters of 11.97% copper and 6.85 meters of 9.39% copper.
"These are some amazing high-grade intersections," chief executive officer Terry Lynch said. "We have extended the known resource area and increased our understanding of the plunge of the Lion Zone."
The company said extensional drilling was slow during the summer program as technical problems with the helicopter supported drills led to lost holes that did not reach the mineralization horizon for Lion.
Power Metallic plans to use more powerful skid drills going forward when testing the Lion zone extension at depth to avoid similar issues.
For the fall/winter drill program, the company said it aims to discover another Lion zone. It was also unable to drill its highest priority drill targets due to their proximity to the company's land assembly activities.
Power Metallic's share price fell 1.6% on Tuesday to $1.20 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
