04:11 PM EST, 11/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Power One Resources ( PORCF ) on Wednesday reported the first-ever discovery of gold mineralization at its Pecors Property near Elliot Lake, Ontario, expanding what it described as a growing multi-metal system in one of Canada's historic uranium districts.
The company said the discovery broadens the project's scope beyond uranium and base metals, positioning Pecors as a "compelling multi-metal target." Gold was identified during the company's 2023-2024 drill program, which initially targeted shallow rare earth element zones but encountered an unexpected gold-bearing system.
Power One said gold highlights include 1.025 grams per tonne over 1.5 meters in hole P02401 and multiple anomalous intercepts of 0.035 to 1.25 grams per tonne in hole P02403.
The company said it will re-log and re-sample drill core after the program was disrupted by the hospitalization and passing of the project manager early in 2024, resulting in core being moved to an off-site facility.
Pecors covers an 18-kilometer by 4-kilometer magnetic anomaly in the Elliot Lake camp, historically known for uranium production and increasingly recognized for critical and precious metals potential.
"This is a game-changer for Pecors," the company said. "To identify gold for the first time on a property with a uranium legacy is a rare and valuable breakthrough, especially as gold spot prices test US$ 4,100 per ounce."
Power One shares closed up $0.015 to $0.035 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
