05:34 PM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Premier Health of America (PHA.V) after trade on Wednesday said it swung to a loss in its fiscal third-quarter.
The Canadian healthcare-staffing company said it lost $8.54 million in the quarter ended June 30, compared to a profit of $0.54 million in the year-prior quarter.
Revenue rose 76% to $41.48 million from $23.61 million.
"Our acquisition of Solutions Staffing last November will compensate for the lower volumes delivered by the Per Diem segment. As we move through the current turbulences, we will focus our efforts on the travel nurse segment and deploy cost reduction initiatives," chief executive Martin Legault said in a release.
The company's shares closed down $0.005 to $0.365 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
