- Paramount Global's ( PARAA ), CEO Bob Bakish is stepping
down effective immediately and will be replaced by an "office of
the C.E.O." run by three executives, Paramount announced.
- Skydance, which has been in talks to merge with Paramount
in recent days offered to provide the combined company with a $3
billion cash infusion.
- Philips Respironics has reached a $1.1 billion settlement
over claims that people who used their CPAP and other breathing
devices were harmed by noxious gasses and flecks of foam that
lodged in their airways.
- New federal safety regulation will require all new cars
and trucks in the United States to be sold with automatic
emergency braking, sensors that hit the brakes to avoid a
collision if the driver does not.
