- Paramount signed off on a deal to merge with

Skydance in a tender offer from Skydance which will allow many

holders of Paramount's nonvoting stock to cash out at roughly

$15 per share.

- U.S. Treasury officials have proposed penalties on oil

tankers that are helping deliver Russian oil to buyers around

the world in defiance of Western sanctions.

- Boeing ( BA ) agreed to plead guilty to a felony charge of

conspiring to defraud the federal government over two fatal

crashes of the 737 Max in 2018 and 2019.

- Hurricane Beryl strengthened into a hurricane as it

approached Texas late Sunday, hours before it was forecast to

make landfall along the state's vulnerable coastline.
