- Canada's Brookfield Wealth Solutions ( BNT ) agreed to
acquire Just Group for 2.4 billion pounds ($3.17
billion) as part of its expansion into the UK pension risk
market, sending the British insurer's shares to an 11-year high.

- A radar-related technical failure that led to hundreds of
flights being disrupted was an "isolated event" with "no
evidence of malign activity", the transport secretary has said,
after summoning the head of the UK air traffic control service,
Nats, to account for the disruption.
- Heathrow has submitted its "shovel-ready" plans for a
third runway as part of a 50 billion pounds investment, as the
government said expanding Europe's largest airport could create
100,000 jobs and drive growth.
