- Activist investor Nelson Peltz's hedge fund Trian and
technology investor General Catalyst have made a takeover offer
for Janus Henderson ( JHG ) valuing it at $7.2 billion.
- GSK will pay up to 268 million pounds ($359.68
million) to Strasbourg-based Syndivia for rights to a
pre-clinical prostate cancer drug showing enhanced anti-tumor
activity against an operation-resistant strain.

- Petrofac ( POFCF ), a North Sea oil and gas contractor, has
filed for administration after losing a major offshore wind
project for failing to meet contractual obligations, putting
over 2,000 jobs in Scotland at risk.
- Britain's competition regulator has raised concerns that
