- Canada's billionaire Weston family has reached a
C$12.5-million ($9.03 million) agreement to buy the 1670 royal
charter that launched the Hudson's Bay Co, and to donate the
historic document to the Canadian Museum of History, pending
court approval.
- Hudson's Bay Co. is pushing ahead with seeking court
approval to sell 25 store leases to B.C. billionaire Weihong
(Ruby) Liu, despite court filings that reveal the retailer
considered terminating the deal after accusing Ms. Liu's company
