THE GLOBE AND MAIL

** Calgary-based energy infrastructure company Keyera ( KEYUF )

announced Tuesday it will acquire all of Plains'

Canadian natural gas liquids business, along with some

U.S. assets, for C$5.15-billion ($3.77 billion).

** A consortium of Canadian investors led by Globalive says

it has secured the federal government's approval to acquire

Toronto-based Wealth One Bank of Canada, two years after Ottawa

ordered three of its founding investors to divest their shares

in the bank.

** Torngat Metals Ltd is raising $165 million from the

federal government as it attempts to put a rare earths mine and

refinery into production in Quebec at a time when China's

dominance of the sector is causing high anxiety for the West.
