THE GLOBE AND MAIL
- Canada-based garage door maker Garaga Inc has teamed up
with Fonds de solidarité FTQ and Quebec's investment arm,
Investissement Québec, to buy Novatech Group for more than $500
million deal, Globe and Mail reported, citing two sources
familiar with the transaction.
- Canadian oil producer Suncor Energy ( SU ) picks up steam
on a retail strategy to transform 20 percent of its network,
which includes strategies to rebrand Canadian Tire gas stations
to Petro-Canada and sell underperforming gas stations as it aims
to deliver $200 million in marginal growth by the end of 2026.
- Solaris Resources ( SLSR ) has scrapped plans to sell a
minority stake to China's Zijin Mining Group because
it feared the deal was unlikely to meet Canada's stringent
foreign- investment standards in a timely manner, the Canadian
company said on Tuesday.

- Canada's Housing Minister Sean Fraser said he is trying to
coax big city mayors to keep development charges steady with new
federal funding after some major Canadian cities recently raised
