- Candy giant Mars Inc is in advanced talks to acquire
snack-maker Kellanova ( K ) in a deal that could value Kellanova ( K )
at $30 billion.
- CrowdStrike ( CRWD ) says that it isn't to blame for Delta
Air Lines' ( DAL ) days-long meltdown following the tech outage
caused by the cybersecurity company, and that it isn't
responsible for all of the money that the carrier says it lost.
- Tropical Storm Debby picked up strength Sunday as it raced
toward Florida, where it is expected to make landfall as a
hurricane and bring dangerous flooding to the southeast Atlantic
coast later in the week.
- Societe Generale agreed to sell its banking
subsidiaries in the U.K. and Switzerland in two separate deals
valued at 900 million euros ($982.1 million).
- U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has been
interviewing finalists for her running mate, including
Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona and
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on Sunday, and is expected to announce
her choice ahead of a first joint appearance scheduled for
Tuesday in Philadelphia.
