- U.S. satellite TV provider DirecTV said on Thursday it had
terminated its agreement to acquire Echostar's ( SATS )
satellite television business, which includes rival Dish TV,
over a failed debt-exchange offer.
- U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is considering picking Kevin
Warsh as his Treasury secretary with the understanding that he
could later be nominated to lead the Federal Reserve when Jerome
Powell's term as chair ends in 2026.
- U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said on Thursday he would
nominate former Florida Attorney General and loyalist Pam Bondi
to be U.S. Attorney General, moving swiftly to replace his
former nominee Matt Gaetz after the embattled former congressman
